Everything you need to know about our full fibre broadband

What is full fibre broadband?

Full fibre broadband is a type of broadband connection that uses fibre optic cables to deliver fast, reliable internet speeds to homes and businesses. These cables are made of thin strands of glass or plastic, which are capable of transmitting data at extremely high speeds over long distances.

Full fibre broadband speeds can vary, but generally they are much faster than traditional broadband connections. We offer 3 different packages, so you can choose the package that best fits your need. Our top package offers speeds of up to 1 Gbps (gigabit per second). This is significantly faster than the average broadband speed, which is typically around 25-50 Mbps (megabits per second).

Our full fibre broadband is currently being rolled out across Hull, Yorkshire & Lincolnshire. You can check the postcode checker on our website to see if our full fibre broadband is available in your area. If it’s not yet available in your area, please rest assured that we are working to expand our full fibre network as quickly as possible, so it shouldn’t be long before we cover your area.

Switching to our full fibre broadband is typically a straightforward process. First, you’ll need to check if full fibre broadband is available in your area. If it is, you can then choose a package that meets your needs and sign up. Once you’ve signed up for a full fibre broadband package, we will take care of the rest, including installing the necessary equipment and transferring your existing broadband connection to the new service.

Full fibre broadband may be more expensive than traditional broadband, especially if it is not yet widely available in your area. However, the faster speeds and increased reliability of full fibre broadband may make it worth the extra cost for some users. It’s worth having a look around our site and comparing different packages to find the best deal for your needs.

      • By comparison, uploading the same content over a 20Mbps connection could take up to 12 hours.

Several factors may affect your speed such as distance from the router, thickness of the walls, you may also find that your devices do not show the full speeds, and this could be due to the capability of your device or cable.

Installation is subject to certain technical conditions and there is a possibility that we may not be able to connect you during the visit. Bearing this in mind, we recommend that you do not cancel your existing broadband until your connection with us is up and running.

WiFi speeds will always be slower than the full speeds coming into the router. Several factors contribute to slower than expected speeds, such as the layout of your home, the capability of your device, other programmes that are running on your device, or the distance of your devices from the router. We always recommend that you connect by ethernet cable in order to achieve the full speed.

Currently we don’t offer a static IP.
